The award
A minimum of $1,500 is awarded to one or more recipients each year, contingent on available funding. Money must be applied toward tuition, fees, and textbooks only — not living expenses or travel.
Who may apply
Eligibility, in four parts.
- Member or descendant of a member. Applicants must be a member in good standing of the Maryland Society, a Junior Member, or in the direct line of descent from a Maryland Society member.
- Document Mayflower descent. The lineage need not pass through Maryland — descent through any state society line is acceptable.
- Full-time undergraduate study. Enrollment must be at an accredited U.S. college, university, or trade school.
- Undergraduate only. Graduate programs are not eligible.

Sustaining the fund
Support a Maryland scholar
The Scholarship Fund is sustained entirely by gifts from members and friends of the Society. Every contribution helps a Maryland descendant carry the line forward.
