The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Maryland
Annapolis Tour & Lunch
June 28, 2025
Annapolis is consistently rated as one of the most beautiful cities in America. Join the Maryland Mayflower Society on June 28 for a personalized tour of the historic Maryland State House. Learn about 400 years of Maryland history that have taken place on State Circle. What is the oldest public building in Annapolis? Who was George Calvert? When was Maryland founded and why? When did Annapolis become the capital of Maryland? These and so many more questions will be answered. From the full-size portraits of Lords Baltimore to the beautiful building grounds, we will explore the rich history of the State House from 1696 when it was built to the recent restoration of the dome. The Tour will be followed by a special luncheon at a favorite local Irish restaurant, Galway Bay, a five-minute walk from State Circle.
